The opinion of a member of the history club - Confucianism ruined the country?

Because of Confucianism, he lived in China, and because of Confucianism, it became a country full of machos, and because of Confucianism, exploration ducks were filled in Joseon, and farmers were persecuted, and Joseon collapsed helplessly at the end of the Joseon Dynasty. I think this is the perception of many people. When I first entered Sohae University, I joined a club, and my senior told me to write a book report by throwing some books from the French Revolution or European history. After that, I attended a few seminars, and it was roughly like this. From the French Revolution, Fuconi, 68 Saxing... After listing what Westerners have been striving for human rights, such as, etc., Korea has now made "progress" and "development," I hope more people can talk about high-quality ideas such as French thought. It ends with a story like this. Of course, the concept of Western revolutionary history and equal human rights must be an achievement that will remain in human history. I think their help is clear that many people are still living under protection (although they still have a long way to go) in Korea. But the problem is that they judge Joseon and Confucianism with such ideas. Joseon was hundreds of years ago. However, was Joseon continuing by classification? That's not it either. Obviously, at the end of the Joseon Dynasty, the distinction between statues became ambiguous, and people's perceptions began to change due to numerous evils, and I think it was an era when the foundation for reform was already being laid. You can see it from examples such as Donghak. Even looking at Choi Han-ki and other young Confucian scholars in Joseon, it is a pity to see their results how much they agonized and studied. The worries and efforts of so many scholars have collapsed ridiculously by the imperialist invasion. If the West had not committed an imperialist invasion and Joseon lasted only for more than 100 years, I think Joseon would have become a beautiful country if Joseon had independently embraced Western science and led to equality among people based on studying abroad. Because of Confucianism, Korea became a Macho country. I think this is also ridiculous. I know that not only in the Goryeo Dynasty but also in the early Joseon Dynasty, women were not so severely oppressed. Of course, it is not to defend the travel expenses of Sohae-i or Joseon. Obviously, it was an era when women were oppressed, and it was true that they were victims. But the problem is that there was no country that was not like that at the time. In the West, I know that women did not have the right to vote until just 60 years ago. If I have to criticize him, he is also formidable, but I don't know why only Joseon should be criticized. Even if I listen to many other reasons, such as others, etc. I don't think the Joseon+Confucianism system was that missing compared to many countries at the time. Rather, compared to the West, where the country was going backwards, such as Joseon's neo-government politics and political parties can give more points. (I think it's too much emphasis on abolition) Besides, Confucianism doesn't seem to be that easy to abandon. Whether it's a positive worldview of Koreans like the world even if they roll in a dog poop field, or the Korean literary world full of realism. Family egoism (I can't think of a good word) and in many ways, Confucianism, which has supported Korea for decades after the war, seems to be deeply embedded in Koreans' consciousness. I don't know. I heard that more and more institutions are studying neo-Confucianism to overcome the numerous difficulties of the collapse of ethics after the fall of Christianity. In China, scholars related to that area are constantly emerging, and anyway, I heard that in the West, alternatives to overcome the limitations of Christian civilization are considered Confucian values and are being studied in various places. Whatever it is, I think that a country called Sohae Korea cannot be said except for Confucianism. Well, that doesn't mean I insist on Confucian supremacy, but I hope at least I don't get disparaged and ignored.
