용(Korean Dragon) - The dragon of the world

Chinese dragon Chinese say that all things were born from the rhythmic combination of two elements, "Yin" and "Yang" in relation to the creation of the universe. Condensation, darkness, passivity, and even number and cold belong to the negative, and growth and light, intensity and odd number, and heat belong to quantity. The symbols of sound are women, land, orange, valleys, river bottoms, tigers, etc., and sheep are men, sky, blue, mountains, dragons, and pillars. Chinese dragons are one of the four mysterious animals (the other three are Tosu-giraffe, phoenix, and turtle). In many cases, Western dragons scare people and are ridiculous at best, whereas traditional Chinese dragons are, on the contrary, sacred and like angels, also called lions.   This story comes out in Samacheon's book called Sagi. Confucius went to ask for advice from the wise man, Laozi. Confucius expressed his opinion after meeting him.  "Birds fly, fish swim, and land animals run around. Running can be trapped, swimming can be caught in nets, and flying can be hit by arrows. However, there is a dragon. I don't know how the dragon flies in the wind and how it climbs into the sky. I met Laozi today. I dare say that I met a dragon." A dragon or dragon rose from the Yellow River and taught the emperor the famous round Taegeuk symbol symbolizing the interaction between positive and negative. Some wages owned dragons that pulled wagons or used as chairs, and others raised dragons. The kingdom of these kings could prosper. The great poet also sang about the urgency of wages. "The Ilgaksu became a cold dish, and the dragon became a meat dumpling." In the Adversity, the dragon symbolizes the wise man. Over the centuries, dragons have been symbols of the empire. The emperor's chair was called Yongsang, and the emperor's face was called Yongan. When announcing that the emperor had passed away, he used the expression of ascension to heaven on a dragon. People's imagination connected dragons to clouds, rain, and rivers rich in quantity that farmers aspire to. "The earth becomes one with the dragon" was a routine phrase meaning rain. Around the 6th century, Jang Seung-yo painted a mural, and four dragons were depicted in the painting. Everyone who saw the painting criticized him because he did not paint the dragon's eyes. He, who was offended, is said to have raised his brush again and painted the eyes of two dragons in a lively painting as if moving alive. Then, "Lightning and thunder broke the wall and the dragons flew up into the sky." However, it is said that the two animals that did not draw eyes remained in place. Chinese dragons have horns, feet, and scales, and their spine is upright like thorns. And I always spit it out. It is biting a magic pearl that is said to have been made. The Chinese believe that all the power comes from this Yeouiju. Therefore, if the cintamani is taken away, the dragon becomes lethargic. Jangja once told us about a stubborn person. After three years of hard work, he trained martial arts to defeat the dragon. However, it is said that he has never had a chance to show his martial arts skills in his life.  +Jang Seung-yo: In the early 6th century, Yang's Muje was appointed as a royal painter, and is said to be one of the three generations of the Yukjo period. He drew dragons and characters well and used relief painting methods that were said to have been handed down from India, which is believed to have been a strong foundation for forming Tang Dynasty paintings. The appearance of a large, large snake with sharp claws and wings of a Western dragon is probably the most faithful representation of the Western dragon. It may be black, but it looks better only when it flashes. It is also sometimes depicted as emitting fire and steam. Western people believed that this was the actual appearance of a dragon. The Greeks seem to have associated the actual appearance of the dragon with a snake of unusual stalagmites. Plinius said this. In summer, dragons eat the blood of relatively cold elephants. The dragon violently attacks the elephant, wraps it around it, and bites it with its teeth.  The elephant, whose blood is stolen, eventually dies while rolling on the ground. However, the dragon cannot overcome the opponent's weight and dies from being pressed. There is also a story in Ethiopia that dragons cross the Red Sea to Arabia in search of a great ranch.   For this adventure, four or five dragons hug each other to form a ship. But the head is always out of the water. On another page, there are various prescriptions using dragons, and this story is written. The dried and mixed eyes of a dragon with honey can create an ointment that is excellent for fear and anxiety. And if the dragon's heart's fat is wrapped in sheep's skin and tied to a person's arm with a deer's tendon, it will win the lawsuit. In addition, tying the dragon's teeth to the body makes the owner generous and the king gracious. Although this literature expressed skepticism, it also mentioned in detail how to prepare drugs that make humans invincible. In other words, it was believed that the lion's fur and bone marrow, the foam of the horse that just won the race, the dog's tob, and the dragon's tail and head could make these medicines. Chapter 11 of "Ilias" tells this story.  "In Agamemnon's sentence, there is a dragon called Paaran, which has three namgeuns." A few centuries later, Scandinavian pirates drew dragons in sentences, and the dragon's head was engraved on the bow. The Romans drew dragons on the flags of infantry (while eagles on the flags of cavalry). The origin of the current "Dragon's Unit" began right here. Kings from the Germanic people of England always drew dragons on flags. The purpose of drawing a dragon on the flag like this was to give fear to the enemy. There is a phrase like this in Artis' dream. "Romans always carry this with them. This always makes us afraid of the Romans." Westerners always thought of dragons as evil beasts. There was always a dragon in the battle of the heroes (Hercules, Zergert, St. Michael, and St. George), and killing the dragon by giving in became the subject of Youngwoo Dam.  In the Germanic legend, dragons play a role in protecting expensive objects. In addition, in the martial arts poem Bear Wolf (a poem made in England around the 8th century), a dragon that has played a role in protecting treasures for 300 years appears. The slave who escapes hides in a cave guarded by the dragon and brings out a jar. However, the dragon, who wakes up, finds out that the treasure has been stolen and drives out and kills the thief. After that, I sometimes come down to the cave and look at it (the poet's amazing imagination gives the dragon a very human appearance). In other words, it shows a considerable unstable psychological state). After that, the dragon devastates the whole country. Then Beowulf goes out to find the dragon, fights the dragon, and kills it. People believed that dragons existed. In the mid-16th century, dragons were also recorded in Conrad Guesner's Animal Journal, a fairly scientific book. Over time, the dragon's reputation has faded considerably. We made the animal lion a symbol, but it is real. However, we only take Minotaurus (human body, but human head, small) as a symbol. Because I know it doesn't exist.  Perhaps the most widely known among people is the dragon. However, it is also the least fortunate animal among imaginary animals. Talking about dragons is regarded as immature or childish acts of iron site.  However, it should not be forgotten that this is also nothing more than a modern prejudice due to the appearance of too many dragons in the stories of fairies. St. John mentioned the dragon twice in The Book of Revelation. In other words, "A long-established snake called the devil Satan..."He said…. St. Augustine told a similar story. "It's a lion and a dragon." Bravery is like a lion and a ruse is like a dragon." Yungdo also said that the characteristics of snakes and birds, which are the basic elements of heaven and earth, are mixed in the dragon. +Artis: He is a character in Atis and Propirias, a dream of the late 12th century. +Gurgert: The hero from Icelandic legend. It corresponds to the Germanic myth of Zikfried. +Saint Michael: "The Book of Revelation," see Chapter 12:7.St. George: The patron saint of England. Martyred in Palestine in the early 4th century. Later, it was widely reported that the dragon was eradicated by the Golden Legend. The Golden Legend is the most widely distributed saintly exhibition in the Middle Ages. +Guessner (1516-65): a German-Swiss naturalist.  It is referred to as "German Plinius. Among the zoological books, Animal Journal, a collection of knowledge at that time, was published in all five volumes from 1551 to 1587 after his death.  - This book is basically a translation of the Spanish version, so there are many places where foreign language notation is unfamiliar, but we are posting it without modifying it. I think most of you will recognize it right away.  I think the Scandinavian pirate that appears in the middle means Viking. Oriental dragons can change into many different forms. However, humans cannot find out how dragons have changed. In general, dragons are said to have large wings on the head of a horse and the tail of a snake and four feet (each has four claws). Dragons are also drawn in a different way. It is said that the dragon's horns resemble the deer's horns, its head resembles a camel, its eyes resembles a devil's eyes, a snake on its neck, its belly resembles a mollusk, scales like fish, its feet like an eagle, its ankles like a tiger, and its ears like a cow.

Some people say that dragons have no ears and instead hear sounds with horns. And dragons are generally symbolized by Yeouiju. Yeouiju is hung on the dragon's neck and symbolizes the sun. All the power of the dragon comes from this magic pearl. That's why if you lose the magic pearl, you lose all your strength. According to history, the first emperors were dragons. It is said that the dragon's bones and teeth are drawn and the saliva is medicinal. Dragons may or may not be seen by humans according to their will. And in spring, it goes up to the sky and in autumn, it goes deep into the water. The dragons we know are divided into several categories. Dragons living in heaven carry the palaces of the gods on their backs and prevent them from falling to the ground. Holy dragons have the power to create wind and rain for humans. Dragons living on the ground determine the flow of rivers. And dragons living underground protect hidden treasures from humans being found. Buddhists believe that the number of dragons is not less than the number of fish living in many seas with the same center. It is also believed that there is a mysterious code somewhere in the universe that has written down the numbers of dragons. The Chinese people believe that dragons are more sacred than any other god. This is because they find dragons very frequently in the changing clouds. Similarly, Shakespeare recorded that he had seen a dragon-shaped cloud (we can sometimes see a dragon-shaped cloud). And dragons also rule over mountains. Therefore, it is also related to what is viewed as soil or feng shui. Dragons live close to the cemetery, which is related to the worship of Confucius. Dragons become neptunus in the sea. And it also appears on the continent. The king of dragons living in the sea, or dragon king, lives in a brilliant palace and eats opals and pearls. There are five dragon kings. The strongest king lives in the middle, and the other four live in each room. They are said to be about a dozen long. So when you turn your body around, the mountains collide with each other. The dragon is covered with scales as if wearing armor. And there is a beard under the snout, and the legs and tail are covered with fur. Above the burning eyes, there is a bulging forehead, and the ears are small and rough. His mouth is always open, his tongue is long, and his teeth are sharp. The breath is hot enough for the fish to fry, and the minerals from the body are strong enough to bake the fish.  When a dragon rises to the surface of the sea, vortexes and typhoons occur. When he flies in the sky, the roofs of houses in the city fly away, and there is a storm strong enough to flood in the field. It is said that these dragons do not die forever and no matter how far away they are from each other, they can talk without talking directly. In the third month, they make an annual report to the sky, their immediate superior.
